Temple is a tattoo studio in Chengdu, designed for friends as a comfortable, creative and artistic place to work. Some of its artists specialise in Japanese tattooing — so that tradition became the thread running through the design.
The concept draws on Japanese gardens and a minimalist way of thinking. Across a three-level, loft-style unit, the interior stays calm and considered — a fitting backdrop for the work made there.
At the front, an open courtyard sits between high buildings — an in-between space that gives the studio a quiet atmosphere all its own.
