This 190-square-metre Chengdu apartment takes its cue from Taiwanese interior style — a discipline of few materials, chiefly wood and stone. Simple lines and carefully chosen Asian furniture make a home that is as comfortable as it is composed.
Grey and brown tones, set against wood and warm light, unify the whole. The decoration is pared right back; here, less really is more.
To fit the client's life, the layout was fully reworked. The study now folds into a generous wardrobe; the main bedroom is larger and more open, its dressing area divided by a hanging TV wall. The main bathroom wraps around a lit, Zen-style tree — visible from the living room at the far end of the corridor.
